The Stages

Saturday AM · Torbay Velopark · 1 hr 15 mins
Colin Lewis Velopark Criterium
Colin lived in Paignton for many years and ran his successful business here. This criterium is ridden hard from the gun — 15, 10 and 5 second bonuses are on the line for the first three across the line. The wind can be a real factor blowing in off Goodrington beach and the Channel.

Saturday PM · Babbacombe · ~2.5 mins · 0.6 miles
Ken Robertson Oddicombe Hill Climb
Reprised from the classic 1980s format, Oddicombe was a roaring success on its return. The road is closed — enjoy it. One of the steepest climbs in the country, 850 yards with four hairpin bends, rising from the beach beside the cliff railway through narrow, bumpy, demanding woodland. A true leg burner.

Sunday AM · Hatherleigh · ~73 miles
Roy Hopkins Dartmoor View Road Race
Roy loved a hard day out — and this course delivers. Epic views across the North Moor, two laps of the main circuit then 3.5 laps of the finishing circuit into Hatherleigh. Wide roads built for racing, significant elevation, and a finish that rewards the brave.
Since 1973
About the Race
One of the longest-established stage races in the UK cycling calendar, the Totnes Vire has been organised by Mid Devon Cycling Club since 1973. The race celebrates the historic twinning of Totnes and Vire in Normandy, France, and attracts top amateur talent from across the country across three contrasting stages. This is 53rd edition of the Totnes Vire Stage Race.
